How much does a private chauffeur cost in Tokyo?
¥16,000 an hour for the Toyota Alphard with a minimum of two hours, ¥17,000 for the GranAce or Hiace, ¥19,000 for the Mercedes Benz S 500. A full day of eight hours is ¥126,000 for the Alphard. Expressway tolls, parking and fuel inside the 23 wards are included.
What is the difference between a chauffeur by the hour and a private driver for the day?
None in the car or the driver. By the hour you pay for the hours you use, from two upwards, and the car waits wherever you are. The eight hour day is simply the better price when you know you will need the car from morning to evening.
Do your chauffeurs speak English, and other languages?
English always, and Italian, Spanish, French or Japanese on request. The language is agreed at booking and written into your confirmation, so it is a promise and not a hope.
Can you provide cars for a corporate delegation or an event?
Yes. Executive cars for one principal, several vehicles moving together for a delegation, a car on standby for a conference or a product launch, with the same chauffeur across the days where that matters. Corporate work is quoted on the programme, with a four hour minimum.
Is a hired chauffeur in Tokyo licensed and insured?
Every car is operated by a fully licensed Tokyo operator, with a Class 2 licence and the green plate that only licensed passenger carriers may show. We never arrange unlicensed driving, and we will show you the plate.
Is there a night supplement?
On hourly and daily services, hours worked between 22:30 and 06:29 carry a supplement of 20% on those hours only. Airport transfers are a fixed price at any hour.
